Replied to Disable Global Scope On Model Show?

@ajithlal Awesome! That worked!

Replied to Disable Global Scope On Model Show?

That's what I thought...but was curious if there was a way without disabling route/model binding. Guess I'll go with that. Thanks!

Replied to Disable Global Scope On Model Show?

Thanks. But how do I do that in the show() method?

public function show(Project $project)
    {
        return view('projects.show', compact('project'));
    }

Started a new Conversation Disable Global Scope On Model Show?

I have a model called project which can be archived. Archived projects do not show on the index page and I do that by using global scope on the Project model:

class ArchiveScope implements Scope
{
    public function apply(Builder $builder, Model $model)
    {
        $builder->where('archived', false);
    }
}

then within the Project model, I have:

protected static function boot()
    {
        parent::boot();

        static::addGlobalScope(new ArchiveScope);
    }

However, I have a page where I'm showing all archived projects and users should be able to click on each project, view the content, and un-archive the project if needed. But due to the global scope, it will not display the project. When I go to an archived project at /projects/{project_id}, it gives me 404 not found error. How can I apply withoutGlobalScope to the show operation of Project?

Thank you.

Started a new Conversation Authorization Header Value Being Masked

I'm trying to get Passport to work but I keep getting the "Unauthenticated" error when trying to access a resource after obtaining access token. Using Telescope, I inspected the header and noticed that the Authorization value is being masked like below. I tried everything including updating .htaccess to allow Authorization header (per https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26475885/authorization-header-missing-in-php-post-request) but nothing seems to help. Anyone know why my Authorization header value is being masked?

Thank you.

Started a new Conversation Cashier Trying To Create Existing Columns

Hello,

I recently upgraded from 5.8 to 6.x. Part of the upgrade was upgrading Cashier to the latest version. I already had Cashier installed so the Cashier columns such as stripe_id, card_brand, card_last_four, and trial_ends_at were already created before. But after upgrading Laravel and Cashier, Cashier keeps trying to run the migration again to create those same fields. I know I can manually comment out the migration from CashierServiceProvider but is there a better way to handle this?

Thank you.

Replied to Sending Payment?

Thank you, @sinnbeck. It looks like that only supports 2 banks. I am also looking at Dwolla API as it seems to support most US banks.

Started a new Conversation Sending Payment?

I work with freelance developers and designers and pay them with check on a monthly or per project basis. I'm trying to see if I can automate that process through building an app with Laravel. However, all the Stripe or payment-related Laravel tutorials and packages I've seen so far are for receiving payment - I haven't seen anything for sending payment to other users. I'm curious if anyone has worked with sending payment, preferably via ACH. I'd like the users to set up their banking information on our website so we can pay them via ACH.

Thank you.
