Awarded Best Reply on SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax Error Or Access Violation - While Running ./testdb.sh

Turns out running composer dump and then rewriting it as a raw MySQL statement fixed it. Still, thanks @neilstee for all the help.

Started a new Conversation SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax Error Or Access Violation - While Running ./testdb.sh

SQLSTATE[42000]: Syntax error or access violation: 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server versi on for the right syntax to use near 'CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 NOT NULL COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci' at line 1 (SQL: ALTER TABLE invoices CHANGE invoice_numb er invoice_number INT UNSIGNED CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 NOT NULL COLLATE utf8mb 4_unicode_ci)

In PDOConnection.php line 79:

And this is the migration where things are going wrong:

public function up() { // Tell Doctrine about enums as a database field type DB::connection()->getDoctrineSchemaManager()->getDatabasePlatform()->registerDoctrineTypeMapping('enum', 'string');

    Schema::table('invoices', function (Blueprint $table) {
        $table->integer('invoice_number')->unsigned()->change();
    });
}

/**
 * Reverse the migrations.
 *
 * @return void
 */
public function down()
{
    // Tell Doctrine about enums as a database field type
    DB::connection()->getDoctrineSchemaManager()->getDatabasePlatform()->registerDoctrineTypeMapping('enum', 'string');

    Schema::table('invoices', function (Blueprint $table) {
        $table->string('invoice_number')->change();
    });
}

My laravel version is 5.5 if it makes any difference. ;)
