wesleya started a new conversation Pixel Measuring Tool

Does anyone know what tool Jeffery is using to measure pixels on his screen? For example at the 6:39 mark of this video: https://laracasts.com/series/modern-css-workflow/episodes/4

It just looks like the same measurement tool used when using the cmd+shift+4 keyboard shortcut for creating custom sized screenshots.

wesleya left a reply on Testing Job Dispatch In Laravel

Hi, They've added queue fakes since Laravel 5.3 which seems to do what I wanted: https://laravel.com/docs/5.4/mocking#queue-fake

As for your second question, I'm not sure off the top of my head, I've never had to do that, sorry!

wesleya started a new conversation 401 Unauthorized Api Response On IE

I'm making API calls from Vue on the front end. It works fine on firefox and chrome. I can navigate to the web page, the page makes the api call, and the data is returned correctly.

But when I try the same thing on IE, I navigate to the page, the page makes the api call, but gets a 401 unauthorized response.

One thing I noticed was that chrome sends a 'spark_token' cookie in it's request header while internet explorer doesn't. Not sure why though.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? Has anyone else run into the same problem? Or has anyone else been able to use the default api authentication in IE without any problems?

wesleya left a reply on Spark Forms Show Errors For A Split Second?

@Francismori7 worked great thanks for the quick reply! http://vuejs.org/api/#v-cloak for more details if anyone else runs into the same thing.

wesleya started a new conversation Spark Forms Show Errors For A Split Second?

If I navigate to any of the Spark forms (register page, billing page, etc), it will show a bunch of Vuejs syntax and errors on the screen just for a split second, before loading the proper vue. It's so fast I couldn't even tell what it was until I took a screen cast and played it frame by frame to get these screenshots from the register page as an example:

clicking navigating to register page shows this for a split second - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3841477/register_page_before.PNG then it shows the proper view - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3841477/register_page_after.PNG

Does anyone else have this same problem? Or did I just inadvertently make a change that caused this?

wesleya started a new conversation Testing Job Dispatch In Laravel

Is there a way to test that a job is dispatched with the correct parameters in Laravel phpunit? For example, I have a job that searches for images that should be deleted. For each image it finds, it will dispatch another job to delete the image (and some other cleanup).

I want to test that it's only dispatching jobs for images that should actually be deleted, and not deleting anything it's not supposed to. Here's a snippet:

foreach($imagesToDelete as $image) { $job = (new DeleteTheImage($image); $this->dispatch($job); }

For tests right now I'm just using $this->expectsJobs(App\Jobs\DeleteTheImage::class). But it's not really checking anything useful. I want to check that the right $image was passed through. On a related note, is there a way to test expected number of jobs dispatched? Thanks for the help!
