uruloke started a new conversation Testing Packages On Lumen And Laravel • 2 months ago

Hello, We are developing a package and was wondering how we can add tests for both Laravel and Lumen? So all our tests should run on both Laravel and Lumen, we do not want to clone our tests for Lumen and Laravel as they should work for both.

uruloke started a new conversation Creating Models In Queue • 1 year ago

I have a queue which uses SerializesModels and inside my handle method I am trying to create another model, but nothing happends.

Model::create([
    'someData' => 123
]);

This is what I am doing in my handle() function, but nothing happens. When I run this somewhere else, it works.

Found Observers which was a great way for handling this.

Hello, Fairly new to Laravel, so would like some input if this is "The Laraval way" to do it or not.

I have some data which I need to save and fetch from an database, here I ofc. use a model. But this data has to be saved in a remote system as well, the remote system is using an API for saving the data.

How would I approach this? Would I override create and so on, and make these functions save the data to the remote system as well, or is there a different/better approach?

Thanks for an solution. Was looking for an easy solution, without having to run a command each time.

I will try looking into the PhpFPM and Brew file.

@willvincent, that is not what I desire. I have some drivers which I wanna run with php7. 0 and some with php5. 6 at the same time.

Hello, I just got started on Valet and I wanted to setup a custom driver where it uses PHP5.6 instead of PHP7.0. I looked through the docs, but couldn't find anything about shifting PHP version, is this possible to do as a custom driver? And is it even possible at all to shift the PHP version of Valet?
