Ty left a reply on How Do I Pass 2 Arguments In Foreach ?

Wouldn't this be a scenario where you could use relationships to better associate the data rather than trying to accomplish this using nested foreach

go into our pg_hba.conf and add the trust lines to the bottom of the file and restart your postgres server.

# "local" is for Unix domain socket connections only
local   all         all                               trust
# IPv4 local connections:
host    all         all         127.0.0.1/32          trust

Are you using a local environment? If so did you modify your pg_hba.conf?

Ty left a reply on Problem Conection To Database

It doesn't look like it's picking up the entries your using in .ENV. You might also check your database.php file to make sure there is no custom modifications hard coded.

$users = DB::table('users')->simplePaginate(15);

Keep in mind if your code your using groupBy you need to create a manual pagination.

Ty left a reply on How To Convince Someone From Codeigniter To Laravel

One good point right off the top before even talking about the features would be the support and upgrades of Laravel. CodeIgniter 4 was proposed in 2015 and still is not in production. They have a handful of maintainers that get to stuff when they want to.

Ty left a reply on WAMP Localhost

The way I setup my projects is in a folder under my documents. I use wamp only for MySQL. You will just go to the folder of your project start up the laravel server and it should work. I have found trying to run laravel in Wamp it becomes troublesome.

Ty left a reply on Redirecting URL Problem

You need to provide more details to get assistance. Even on Stack Overflow they have asked you to provide more details and you haven't. So, with that being said,

• Are you using laravel? • What version of laravel? • Please post relevant code using code blocks example would be three back ticks before and after your code.

Ty left a reply on Convert From Collective

Ok I will remove the ID. I'm setting up a ACL and the tutorial I seen when I got stuck was using all Laravel Collective and couldn't find any reference docs since they closed shop. @snapey and @cronix I appreciate you all jumping in so quick.

Ty left a reply on Convert From Collective

I was about to solve this by

<input type="checkbox" name="permissions[]" id="{{$permission->id}}" value="{{$permission->id}}">

Ty started a new conversation Convert From Collective

i'm trying to refactor my forms and cannot figure out the equivalent of this syntax.

''' @foreach ($permissions as $permission) {{ Form::checkbox('permissions[]', $permission->id ) }} @endforeach '''

that doesn't use collective form.

Ty left a reply on Angular Or React

If you are working as a web developer primarily with laravel I would suggest Vue. Vue seems to be widely favored among the laravel and other php framework communities. You will notice a lot of tutorials will use Vue along with Laravel as well. React and Angular are also great frameworks, it really just depends on your preferred js framework.

Ty left a reply on What Css Framework Should I Use?

I have noticed in alot of tutorials they use https://bulma.io/. It seems to be really lightweight compared to bootstrap or the others. I although, have not personally used this in my projects but could be worth a look.

Ty left a reply on HTML/CSS Animation?

This can be accomplished using HTML/CSS pretty easily. A simple google search shows many example tutorials of how to create animated dropdown buttons. I found this link in particular that could be very helpful https://codemyui.com/tag/drop-down/ another example that could be expanded on https://codepen.io/veronicadev/pen/JLoaVg you can also check out this https://freefrontend.com/css-menu/

@MICK79 - disabling pcre.jit should still resolve this in my experiences.

Ty left a reply on Installing Laravel On A Freelancers Machine

This is a know bug in 7.3 which i'm assuming your running. You could try to resolve this by editing your php.ini file and disable PHP PCRE JIT compilation by changing

;pcre.jit=1 to pcre.jit=0
