qiutuleng left a reply on Testing Validation Of An Input Array

@nexxai Hi. Your code should look like this:

$this->post(route('test'), ['name' => [null]])
    ->assertSessionHasErrors(['name.*']);

It's my request validate codes in controller:

$this->validate($request, ['name.*' => 'required|string']);

qiutuleng left a reply on Reading The Upload % Of A File.

@dan3460 Hi. If you using the axios to upload file. you can try to use the onUploadProgress event.

Hope to help you.

Local is incorrect. I think you created a soft link to the storage/app/public/thumbimages directory in the local public directory.

@chrisgrim Normally, storage prefix is correct in Laravel application.

You can check the official documents: https://laravel.com/docs/master/filesystem#the-public-disk

If you want to remove the storage prefix, you should run in the public directory.

ln -s ../storage/app/public/thumbimages

This is not standardized.

qiutuleng left a reply on "Missing Required Parameters For [Route: Brand_names] [URI: {channel}/{brand}].

@chrisgrim The route function in vendor/laravel/framework/src/Illuminate/Foundation/helpers.php file.

function route($name, $parameters = [], $absolute = true)
{
    return app('url')->route($name, $parameters, $absolute);
}

To check the parameters of this method, you should use arrays to pass multiple attributes.

like this:

route('brand_names', [$brand->slug, $channelId]);

qiutuleng left a reply on Why POST Request From POSTMAN Returns Empty?

@moses You should use the $request->getContent() function.

In my application:

$router->post('/', function (\Illuminate\Http\Request $request) use ($router) {
    echo <<<REGEXP
<pre>
{$request->getContent()}
</pre>
REGEXP;
});

I got this response on Postman:

<pre>
{"name": "FooBar"}
</pre>

qiutuleng left a reply on 419 - Unknown Status On File-upload

@ahoi I'm so sorry.

The code should be like this. because it's a object of FormData.

environment.data.append('_token', token);

You can refer to it here.

qiutuleng left a reply on TIMEDIFF() Getting Total Hours MySQL

@wil16 You can use Carbon's diffInMinutes function.

$timeIn = \Carbon\Carbon::parse('2018-09-07 8:30:00');
$timeOut = \Carbon\Carbon::parse('2018-09-07 12:30:00');

$diffInHours = round($timeOut->diffInMinutes($timeIn) / 60);

If you use the model to process the time column. you can set the date attribute in your eloquent model. it will automatically convert the time to a carbon object

Like this:

<?php

namespace App;

use Illuminate\Database\Eloquent\Model;

class Something extends Model
{
    protected $dates = [
        'time_in', 'time_out',
    ];
}

Using model:

$something = \App\Something::find(1);
$something->total_time = round($something->time_out->diffInMinutes($something->time_in) / 60);

$something->save();

qiutuleng left a reply on Laravel 5.7 Upgrade, Observer Problem

@Tomi I think it is an initial trait error. Can you list the detailed error message?

qiutuleng left a reply on Laravel 5.7 Upgrade, Observer Problem

The parent::boot() method must be called on the first line of the method. please swap the positions of the two line codes.

    protected static function boot()
    {
        parent::boot();

        static::observe(new PartnerObserver());
    }

qiutuleng left a reply on 419 - Unknown Status On File-upload

419 status code is CSRF token verification error in Laravel.

<script>

    var tokenElement = document.head.querySelector('meta[name="csrf-token"]');
    var token;

    if (token) {
        token = token.content;
    } else {
        console.error('CSRF token not found: https://laravel.com/docs/csrf#csrf-x-csrf-token');
    }

    var bar = document.getElementById('js-progressbar');

    UIkit.upload('.js-upload', {

        url: '',
        multiple: true,

        beforeSend: function (environment) {
            console.log('beforeSend', arguments);

            // The environment object can still be modified here.
            // var {data, method, headers, xhr, responseType} = environment;

            // You can set the value of CSRF token in here.
            environment.data._token = token
