nikazooz left a reply on Scripts File Not Updating In Laravel

Maybe the server has it's own cache and is serving the script from that. Try cleaning server's cache.

nikazooz left a reply on :src Img Doesnt Work

The value for "mainImg" that you gave is absolute path on the filesystem and image can't be loaded that way. Try using absolute or relative URL.

nikazooz left a reply on Weird Collections Issue With Objects

I think it's ok.

nikazooz left a reply on Weird Collections Issue With Objects

Maybe this:

$newLinks = collect($links)->map(function($link) {
    $newLink = clone($link)

    $newLink->link = str_replace('/', '#', $newLink->link);

    return $newLink;
})->toArray();

nikazooz left a reply on Weird Collections Issue With Objects

In this case

$newLinks = collect($links)->map(function($link) {
    $link = (object) (array) $link;

    $link->link = str_replace('/', '#', $link->link);

    return $link;
})->toArray();

but it is pretty weird...

nikazooz left a reply on Weird Collections Issue With Objects

In case of stdClass like here casting the object into an array and than back into an object creates a new object that you can change:

$link2 = (object) (array) $link;
$link2->link = str_replace('/', '#', $link->link);

return $link2;

If it's some custom class you can use clone, but you shoud define __clone() method.

I think that because you're using objects, you're just working with references to those objects, so every change you make is actualy done to the original object.

nikazooz started a new conversation Broadcasting With PHP Only

Hi!

I was wondering if there is a way to do event broadcasting with Laravel using only PHP on server? So, no redis + socket.io, pusher or zmq (with ratchet).

Thanks!

nikazooz left a reply on Model Validation Not Supported In 5.3?

I would suggest reading "Manually Creating Validators" from Validation section of Laravel docs. The process is explained well.

https://laravel.com/docs/5.3/validation#manually-creating-validators

You can make a validator by using the facade: Validator::make($data, $rules); Of course, the facade needs to be imported with "use Validator;" at the top before class declaration.

Just make sure you pass the array of data that needs to be validated and not the entire request object, which I think you might be doing.

Hope it helps.

nikazooz left a reply on Valet Not Properly Installing

Glad to hear that everything's fine now. I wasn't much help, though.

nikazooz left a reply on Valet Not Properly Installing

I see now that it says "jq: command not found". Can you check if it exists? If not try to install with "brew install jq". Something like "which jq" or "command -v jq" can check.

nikazooz left a reply on Valet Not Properly Installing

Did you run "valet park" in directory where your projects are and then "valet link" in your project directory?

nikazooz left a reply on Nested EagerLoading Broke In 5.2

In the code you've shown for Exam there is no "lectureship" relation, there is "lehramt". Maybe that's the problem?
