Replied to Eloquent : Count Of Posts For A Period With One Row Per Day

Hey, based on your code and @thepsion5 's I think this function does exactly what you want:

function getLastMonthUsers()
    {
        $chartData = User::select([
            DB::raw('DATE(created_at) AS date'),
            DB::raw('COUNT(id) AS count'),
        ])
        ->whereBetween('created_at', [Carbon::now()->subDays(30), Carbon::now()])
        ->groupBy('date')
        ->orderBy('date', 'ASC')
        ->get()
            ->toArray();
        $chartDataByDay = [];
        foreach ($chartData as $data) {
            $chartDataByDay[$data['date']] = $data['count'];
        }
        $date = new Carbon;
        for ($i = 0; $i < 30; $i++) {
            $dateString = $date->format('Y-m-d');
            if (!isset($chartDataByDay[$dateString])) {
                $chartDataByDay[$dateString] = 0;
            }
            $date->subDay();
        }
        ksort($chartDataByDay);
        return asort($chartDataByDay);
    }

Awarded Best Reply on The $with Property Not Loading Relationship

My bad, I set the relationship between the post and the user the wrong way.

public function posts()
    {
        return $this->hasMany(Post::class, 'user_id', 'id');
    }

now after editing it everything works fine with this edit.

Started a new Conversation The $with Property Not Loading Relationship

I have a Post model that eager loads the user. protected $with = ['user'];

when performing this elequent statement it returns the desired result:

$posts = Post::with([
            'user' => function($query) {
                $query->select('id', 'name', 'image');
            },
        ])->paginate(10);

but the problem comes when I am trying to do the same query with a specific user id like this:

$posts = Post::where('user_id', $user->id)->with([
            'user' => function ($query) {
                $query->select('id', 'name', 'image');
            },
        ])->paginate(10);

it gives me an error that says : Maximum execution time of 60 seconds exceeded
