@sstringer hey man, did you find a solution? it appears $dontReport is not working on my side as well?
Hey guys, I am using Laravel Nova and trying to resolve the following scenario:
I want to have a dropdown when creating a resource from which user can select a template to be applied. The template will include default field values and already defined relationships. I want all define all data and relationships on one page.
When user selects a value from the dropdown everything is populated on the page (I am using some nestedform package for the relationships) 2 levels nesting.
This is not a complicated task at all but I wonder how is this possible with Laravel Nova. Should the dropdown be a custom component which fetches templates from the server? How this data is passed to the whole creation form?
Right now i am trying to view the state of a components via VueJS debugbar in chrome and it says its disabled and tab is not appearing.
I will appreciate any kind of suggestions/tips what is the best solution.
@MikeHopley which version of dusk fixes it? cause i am using 3.0 and issue is still there
Thanks of the solution guys! Other idea is to use something like VueJS and do an ajax call

hey guys, i got stuck on the same issue, in the laravel doc is says to use this $this->expectsEvents(App\Events\ProductUpdated::class);
but it doesn't seem to work. it gives me
BadMethodCallException: Method Mockery_0_Illuminate_Contracts_Events_Dispatcher::until() does not exist on this mock object
I tried you technique but it doesn't work... by the way any idea why this until method doesn't exist?
This is gonna be my first serious project with Laravel and still don't how to start it. basically it's gonna be а website that users could post their advertisements, also search, chat, etc. and i wonder for system like this what is more appropriate to use. I guess it will have a lot of active users and requests, so i wonder if lets say throwing an event when creating particular advertisement is good. otherwise i don't know if the framework can handle so much request despite of its not rocket science. So i got two options for most advanced operations either to use few servers with load balancers (Digital Ocean or Linode) or just to use events and queues.
How do you handle 'a lot of request thing'?
Not sure if i explained it well but you opinions are more than welcomed.
@bencarter78 thanks for the article! I was just trying to do the same stuff
guys, i'm still unable to use databaseTransactions trait? have you experienced problems with it
@Icewolf did you fix it?
