aswal94 started a new conversation Laravel Views Are Not Updating

I created a project on a subdomain. After buying a proper domain i copied the files from the subdomain to the main domain Both of the website are hosted on the same server.

I am developing the project on phpstorm.
The database of the both the project is same

Routes and controller are working fine and are showing changes but the view are not showing any changes.

I've tried the following things.

=> Cleared the cache

php artisan cache:clear php artisan config:clear php artisan view:clear

=> (unchecked the option Preserve files timestamps)

=> Deleted the cached view inside storage/framework/views

=> Renamed the file (it is not getting detected in the controller)

=> Used View::make('lyrics.single')

=> OpCache is not enabled in the server.

How to resolve the issue?

The issue was with the Mozillas browser cache. I was clearing the browsers cache with ctrl+f5. The cache needed to be cleared by going through the settings which worked as suggested by Ben at stackoverflow.

aswal94 started a new conversation Remove "public" From URL

I am developing a website I am bugged by the public folder in the URL. I searched internet fore removing it and found the following ways.

Way I: Move all the files and folder except public folder to a newly created folder in the root directory then copy all the files from public folder to root folder.

Way II: Copy the .htaccess file from the public folder to root folder and rename the server.php file present in the root folder to index.php

Way III: Create a .htaccess file in the root folder and paste the following code.

Options -MultiViews

RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule ^(.*) public/ [L]

The Issue is The Way I and Way II are working fine but are not considered safe since they are exposing .env directory and other directory. Many developers are saying that changing the root to public folder (Way III) is the correct way but when i am doing this i am getting error page of larave.

How to Resolve it? Which is the better approach to remove public folder from URL?
