Started a new Conversation Mounting Root-level Component Using Render Function

view file

<div id="app"></div>

app.js

import App  from './components/App';

    new Vue({
            render: h => h(App)
     }).$mount('#app');

App.vue file works perfectly normal, before using render function to create SFCs . With above code, the view is not working with the vue error :

This instance has no reactive state.

What am I missing?

Started a new Conversation Using Select In Vue Component?

I got vue component for editing category :

<div>
	<select name="category_id" >

		 <option selected="">{{ selected.name }}</option>

		 <option v-for="category in this.categories" :value="category.id">{{ category.name}}
                      </option>
	</select>
      </div>
     </div>
 </template>

<script>
		 export default {
			props: ['categories', 'subcategories','selected'],
			 }
</script>

This works fine as long as I change category while updating post.

If I don't change category, Of course it fails as I am not passing value........

I need to access selected.id for value inside option tag..

How to access it?

Started a new Conversation Compiled App.css And App.js Not Reflecting In Production Server?

all compiled assets with vuejs components are working as expected in local env. But doesn't work when I pull them in production server...

app.css and app.js are both the same in local and prod.

Few things I tried out on production are:

composer dump-autoload

php artisan optimize

php artisan view:cache

Started a new Conversation Google Recaptcha For User Registration?

//using google recaptcha

  protected function create(array $data)
{
    $url = 'https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify';
    $remoteip = $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'];

    $captcha_data = [
            'secret' => config('services.recaptcha.secret'),
            'response' => request()->get('g-recaptcha-response'),
            'remoteip' => $remoteip
    ];

    $options = [

        'http' => [
                'header' => "Content-type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded\r\n",
                'method' => 'POST',
                'content' => http_build_query($captcha_data)
            ]
    ];

    $context = stream_context_create($options);
    $result = file_get_contents($url, false, $context);
    $resultJson = json_decode($result);

    if ($resultJson->success != true) {
    return back()->withErrors(['captcha' => 'ReCaptcha Error']);
    }

    if ($resultJson->score >= 0.5) {
    //Validation was successful,
    //...create user

   .....

}

Is it necessary to use custom validator 'recaptcha' while validating form request?

Replied to Adding Sharable Link For Facebook Throws Error?

Thanks for reply! As long as I don't use

php artisan config:cache
env() in Trait retrieves from .env.

I need to cache config files in production. So as per your suggestion, I created, shareable.php in config/ as

   env('FACEBOOK_APP_ID'),
      ];

And In the trait,

$query = urldecode(http_build_query([
                'app_id' => config('FACEBOOK_APP_ID'),
                ....

Still dont work , what am I missing?

Started a new Conversation Adding Sharable Link For Facebook Throws Error?

To share posts in facebook, shareable trait looks like this...

trait Shareable
{
    public function getShareUrl($type = 'facebook')
    {
        $url = $this->{Arr::get($this->shareOptions, 'url')} ? $this->{Arr::get($this->shareOptions, 'url')} : url()->current();

        if ($type == 'facebook') {
            $query = urldecode(http_build_query([
                'app_id' => env('FACEBOOK_APP_ID'),
                'href' => $url,
                'display' => 'page',
                'title' => urlencode($this->{Arr::get($this->shareOptions, 'columns.title')})
            ]));

            return 'https://www.facebook.com/dialog/share?' . $query;
        }

In blade:

     href="{{ $post->getShareUrl('facebook')  }}"

Configured app ID in .env but throws error..

Error: Invalid App ID: The provided app ID does not look like a valid app ID.
