RootTech started a new conversation Set A Default Value If Input Field Is Blank

On my RegisterController, 'Referrer'= required | max :255

my create function looks up to referrer to create data

'Referrer' => $data('Referrer')

So how do I set a default value if the input field is blank?

like @if (empty ('Referrer') 'Referrer' = 1 @else then the normal input field @endif

RootTech left a reply on Using A Count Both Where Conditions In Blade File.

@JLRDW - Thanks but, bothering columns I am referring to are on same table, would I be needing a join?

RootTech left a reply on Using A Count Both Where Conditions In Blade File.

@SNAPEY - No please....how do I do that..... Remember both user_id and referrer are on same table

RootTech started a new conversation Using A Count Both Where Conditions In Blade File.

I have a table, 'Users' and columns Id,name,lastname,email,referrer,and so on.

I want to count for the number of people each user has referred.

in the blade file, I did @php($user = Auth::user()) @php($referrer = Db::table('users')where ($user,$user->referrer) )

then {{count($referrer)}}

I got, parameter must be an array error.... I don't have any idea what to do now.

help please...

RootTech left a reply on Coupon Code Verification Upon Registration

Thanks Alot, it's the 3rd step I'm stuck at, the controller part... For the for, I have users_coupon and the coupons are stored in coupons _code....so how do I make the register controller check if the input from the form matches a value in coupons_code before making a successful registration.

RootTech left a reply on Coupon Code Verification Upon Registration

Invalid code error message should appear.

RootTech started a new conversation Coupon Code Verification Upon Registration

I have a table on my database in coupons_code with randomly generated chars.

I want users to input a coupon code when registering, then the code should be verified that it matches a code on the coupons table before users registration is successful.

how do I go about it please.. I'm new to laravel and php,so please be as precise as possible.
