Oggy left a reply on Route::view Dynamically Not Working

Yes they do, but what if the only thing you need is to return a view and User IP or load an Overlay with video ID through Ajax request? Then its like Laravel provide a very awesome new feature but its incomplete.

Today discovered that even this, won't work: Route::view('/ip', 'ip', ['ip' => $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR']]);

I came with a solution like this: Route::get('/video/{id}', function($id){return view('overlays/video', compact('id'));}); but... meh, its not a new way to do it...

Oggy left a reply on Route::view Dynamically Not Working

First time I have tried Route::view('/video/{id}', 'overlays/video', compact('id')]); with same error and thought it could be because of compact() function...

Oggy started a new conversation Route::view Dynamically Not Working

After doing something like this:

Route::view('/video/{id}', 'overlays/video', ['id' => $id]);

it throws: Undefined variable: id

It is intended to work only like this:

Route::view('/video', 'overlays/video', ['id' => 'my_id']);

or there is a way to send that variable like I tried but I'm doing something wrong?

Oggy left a reply on Vue And JavaScript's Bad Practices

So, use Vue only for cosmetic fixes that are not vital to site?

And the answer to my main question is positivie. Vue itself is a library of bad practices, mixing HTML and JavaScript.

p.s. getting back to vanilla :D

@martinbean wait, Vue is not doing the same? That's why I'm asking this question, does Vue mixes HTML and JavaScript?

Oggy started a new conversation Vue And JavaScript's Bad Practices

Well I like very much how Vue works and want to learn it deeper. But the main question that bothers me is about JavaScript and its bad practices.

When I began to learn Vanilla JS, I loved idea of onClick="do_something" that to make an event listener separately. And this idea worked awesome with my code I was tinkering about while learning, but when I posted that portion of code on other forum for opinion, I got bombarded by "Bad Practices of JavaScript" adepts, that is to keep code separate and so on and on.

So, what you think about this? Or I didn't got something right?
