Meenachinmaylaracasts left a reply on How To Set 5 Listeners (basically 5 Jobs) Related To One Single Event In The Queue For Processing On Different Time?

may be i can set different time for execution of every call of dispatch method for every single job??? like for ex. job 1 should be dispatch today at 5 am then job 2 is at 8 am then job 3 at 10 am then job 4 at 11 am and then last job 5 at 5pm.

so i want to ask that one single queue would be efficient for this or i need to make 5 new queues (it already dont seems like efficient)???

Meenachinmaylaracasts started a new conversation How To Set 5 Listeners (basically 5 Jobs) Related To One Single Event In The Queue For Processing On Different Time?

I have a question. recently i have just studying about event-listeners and queues in laravel. no doubt they are amazing for many situations. so i just have a simple question that imagine a situation where for a single event i need to notify 5 different listeners for 5 different task to be done. but all the 5 tasks should be done on different time stamps or different days from the initial time stamp.

so obviously i should use queue method here and i can add those 5 listeners (jobs) into a queue but how can i set different time stamp for execution of every single listener out of 5. do i need to create 5 different queues for 5 listener or there is way to use a single queue (with more than on job) then add those listeners to the queue and then set the time stamps for every single job to execute.

please help me with this its important i think.

thanks in advance.

Meenachinmaylaracasts left a reply on Array_except() Is Deprecated In Laravel 5.8???

@JLRDW - totally true. i have mentioned that, it is a new version of using it but function is same. just like very soon we gonna have a new UI for Laracasts in 2019. Haha...

Thanks for watching and reply.

Meenachinmaylaracasts started a new conversation Array_except() Is Deprecated In Laravel 5.8???

On this platform, in the project series of birdboard in laravel 5.7, please note that in the episode may be 25 or 26, sir used a helper method array_except(), this is a method to avoiding some key value pair data. but in laravel 5.8 this method is deprecated so now you can use Arr::except(), arguments and function is the same but different way to use.

array_except() => Arr::except() .......... :)

Thank you.

@SNAPEY - do not worry about spaces and all, new line of code of mine is working in all situations. :)

Meenachinmaylaracasts left a reply on Views Not Found In Res/views/projects/activity

@SNAPEY - its seriously working for me. haha

Meenachinmaylaracasts left a reply on Views Not Found In Res/views/projects/activity

i have solved this issue. basically i am working on latest version of laravel which is 5.8. and later then i uses this

@include('projects.activity.' . $activity->description)

instead of this as per tutorials

@include("projects.activity.{$activity->description}")

2nd one wont work at all in my case and version of laravel.

Well thanks to everyone who ever has tried. this was easy enough.

Thanks to all.

@SNAPEY - could you think more about it? because in the tutorials it is working well. and bunch of @If statement can help but not always or may be when we will have N number of activities.

Meenachinmaylaracasts left a reply on Views Not Found In Res/views/projects/activity

@TRAY2 - i am very much new to this thing. can you please tell me how can i post a screenshot or a code snippet.

@forelse($project->activity as $activity)
                @include("projects.activity. {$activity->description}")
                            <li class="{{ $loop->last ? '' : 'mb-1' }}">
                                @if ($activity->description === 'created')
                                    You Created a new Project.
                                @elseif ($activity->description === 'updated')
                                    Meena Updated a project.
                                @elseif ($activity->description === 'created_task')
                                    kazu san Created a new Task.
                                @elseif ($activity->description === 'completed_task')
                                    Ikeda san Completed a task.
                                @elseif ($activity->description === 'marked_as_not_completed_task')
                                    Mai san Marked as not done yet.
                                @else
                                    {{ $activity->description }}
                                @endif

                            </li>
                        @empty

now this line @include("projects.activity. {$activity->description}") is saying that, views not found. mean i have created views in the res/views/projects/activity folder as created_task, completed_task, marked_as_not_compeleted_task etc.

but this code can not find that. i think the problem is in @include("projects.activity. {$activity->description}") in this line but i dont know what is that. please help. Thank you.
