Hello

I working on a Trait and I want to intercept when the model who use the Trait is deleted.

My 1st guess was to use a static::deleted in the Trait but that event is fire when the model is softDeleted too.

How can I deal with this ? thanks.

@fenos, I just get he tries to load 10.000 comments in view, I though he was trying to import +10.000 comments in his website.

Maxime.Lespilette left a reply on How To Load Large Database In Laravel ? • 1 year ago

@toniperic, it's not a horrible solution ... Sometime you have to increase time execution for loading a mass a data, by the way you don't have the context, is it on devel or prod ? if it's on dev it's not a problem the only risk is a loop and restart web server, if it's in production, the website could be down while the import running.

If it was "a horrible solution" it could not be possible to change this value.

I may be wrong, so now I wait your solution solution for loading a mass of data in php script without touching this value.

It's a php error, you have to increase you time execution for script in php.ini look for :

max_execution_time = 30 max_input_time = 30

or you can set it to 0 in your php file with

set_time_limit(0);

I found an ugly workaround to make my test pass, I add a hidden input who is updated with the contact select value, so I could change ->select() with ->type()

<!-- Contact Form Input -->
    <div class="form-group">
    <span id="contactspan">
        <label for="contact-combo">Contact :</label>
        <select id="contact-combo" class="form-control"></select>
        </span>
    </div>
<input type="hidden" name="contact" id="contact">
$('#contactspan').on('change',"select",function(el)
{
            $this = this;

            $('#contact').val($this.value);
});

Hi all,

I got a form with a select who is populated with an ajax request, everything works well but I can't figure how I could test this.

Here is the vue :

<div class="form-group">
        {!! Form::label('client', 'Client/Prospect :') !!}
        {!! Form::select('client',$client, null, ['class' => 'form-control']) !!}
    </div>

    <!-- Contact Form Input -->
    <div class="form-group">
        <label for="contact">Contact :</label>
        <select name="contact" id="contact" class="form-control"></select>
    </div>

When I change client select the contact one is populated with this ajax call

$('#client').on('change',function(el){
            $this = this;
            $.ajax({
                dataType: "json",
                url : "/clients/"+$this.value+"/contact/liste",
                success : function(data){
                    $("#contact").empty();
                    $.each(data,function(index,name){
                        $("#contact").append('<option value="' + index + '">' + name + '</option>');
                    });
                }
            })
        })

Here is how I try to test it

/** @test */
    public function it_create_visite_conclusion_meeting()
    {

         $user = factory(App\User::class)->create(['account'=>'commercial']);
         $client = factory(App\Client::class)->create();
         $contact = factory(App\Contact::class)->create(['client_id'=>$client->id]);

        $this->actingAs($user)
             ->visit('/')
             ->click('Add visite')
             ->seePageIs('visites/create')
             ->select($contact->id,'contact')
             ->select($client->id,'client')
             ->press('Save');
}

And i got this error :

  1. AddVisiteTest::it_create_visite_conclusion_meeting InvalidArgumentException: Input "contact" cannot take "1" as a value (possible values: ).*
