Replied to Email Verification And APP_URL
Issue resolved by reverting recent changes and repeating the upgrade including config for email verification.
@nakov there was no duplicate slash in the url. I replicated the error multiple times registering new users. I did the confirmation immediately after registration (while logged in) as well as after logging out before. After tinkering around another 1.5hours I reverted my changes and went through the process again. Thanks anyway
Started a new Conversation Email Verification And APP_URL
I use native Laravel email verification. But the links result in an "Error 403 - invalid signature".
APP_URL should be without trailing slash, right?
Any idea how to fix this?
(Since I upgraded manually from 5.5 it´s absolutely possible I made a mistake during the process.)
Thanks @bobbybouwmann this topic was giving me a real headache the past days. Now I feel okay with my dummy image "workaround".
Started a new Conversation Testing: How To Exclude Specific Methods / Prevent Their Execution During Testing
I need a little guidance for something that is probably obvious for testing veterans.
I have a test where I assert to see some content on a page (e.g. user profile). The test is working fine. Now I an avatar to the profile using spaties media-library package.
I have no image attached to my test user. Therefore the call to the avatar produces an error. The view is not rendered and therefore my assertions on the views content are false.
How do I deal with theese situations?
I could add a dummy image to my test user but that feels wrong because adding the image as well as calling it during the test would be retesting of the already tested package. Am I right?
I read about mocking classes. So I thoght I could mock the method that fails. But the method is part of a trait on the user model and I need the original user models data because I make assertions about that in the test.
