Started a new Conversation How To Replace A Component To Other Components Using Vue Router

I am very new to vue js so my question might seem very basic. What i am trying to do is have one component on display and then remove that component and display others based on the link that is clicked

So i have some like

<router-view></router-view>

Which displays nothing until a link is clicked. But i want to have a dashboard component <dashboard></dashboard> in place when the page is loaded and then replaced it with any other component of the link clicked.

Started a new Conversation How To Use Argon Bootstrap Design In Laravel Vue

Hello, i am trying to use argon bootstrap design system in my laravel vue project but lost how to do it as i keep getting cannot find module error when compiling..

From the documentation it says

** Steps to install Make sure you have Node.js installed. Navigate to the main directory (from terminal) where package.json is located. Run npm install or yarn install Run npm run serve or yarn serve to start the local development server and start prototyping. __

Argon Kit Argon Kit is built as Vue plugin so you can simply import it and use it. **

import Vue from 'vue'; import Argon from '@/plugins/argon-kit' Vue.use(Argon);

Started a new Conversation Authentication In Laravel Vue

I am very new to vue and trying to figure out how it works with laravel with building a project after many tutorials. Right now i am trying to figure out how the authentication system work. I already have laravel installed with vue in it. Do authenticating users need to be implemented with jwt or sanctum?

Or since vue is bundled with laravel in this case and not separately installed with vue cli, is there a different way authentication is implemented?

Just need some clarifications. Thanks

Started a new Conversation Uploaded Images Works On Localhost But Broken On Live Server

I do not know why this happened. I first pushed my project to github and then git cloned it into my server(digital ocean). On my local machine i have uploaded over 350 images, but after deployment they all seem corrupt. If i remove the corrupt image and upload another one, it works ok. What actually went wrong? Is there a fix to this or i have to re upload everything again.

Started a new Conversation Google App Engine Standard And App Engine Flexible

I have been researching on deploying my fairly complex laravel application on google's app engine. This is my first time and i have been going through all the reads about it including the comparison between app engine standard and flexible environment but still confused which way to go. I am currently thinking standard but not sure how it might affect me clearly.

Started a new Conversation Increment Post Only Once By User

I want to implement a "flag this post" kind of feature that deletes a post that has been flagged by up to 5 users

I have this code that increments the flag column when the flag button is clicked

$adCount = Advert::where('id', $recordId)->first();
$adCount->increment('flag');
$adCount->fresh()->flag;

Now a user can click 10 times and it will increment it 10 times but i want a user to be able to increment the count once regardless of how many times he clicks the button of a post. How can i do this here?

Started a new Conversation JavaScript Function In Foreach

I have this code that has the phone number of different posters.

{% for ad in ads %}
...
    <a class="btn"  onclick="showNumber()" class="showNumber"><span class="fa fa-phone"></span> View Phone Number</a>

    <input class="phonenum" style="display: none;" type="text" value="{{ ad.user.phone }}">
...
{% endfor %}

and the Javascript function`

<script type="text/javascript">
  function showNumber() {
    var phone = $('.phonenum').val();
    $('.showNumber').html(phone);
   // e.target.innerHTML = e.target.parent.querySelector('.phonenum').value;
  }
</script>

the above works and the input field shows correctly the different numbers of the posters when i change it to block. But just the first input value shows up on all the buttons
