Replied to Laravel Permission

I know this package but I wanted to know the better way to do it.

Activity icon

Started a new Conversation Laravel Permission

I protected my web app by permission, I know that you have to use combination of Roles and Permissions, but I just made a table for permission and a pivot table for permission_user.

So I can get the permissions of each user from pivot table and it works fine.

My question is that: my way is better or using Role and Permissions together?

Thanks

Replied to Value Is Not Binding For Checkbox: Vue

I think you should use it like this:

<input type="checkbox" :checked="todoList.todo_status" @change="check($event)" v-model="todo.todo_status">

you typed todo.todo_status but I can see that your object name is todoList not todo.

Started a new Conversation Useing Eloquent In Blade File Make Another Query?

In controller I got all users with this:

$users = User::all();

return view('users, compact('users'));

if I use this code in blade, does this make another query?

@foreach($users->where('active', true) as $user)
	<li>$user->name</li>
@endforeach

Started a new Conversation How To Refactor This Code?

I have this code to insert multiple rows to table:

rest = Restaurant::create($this->check());
$items = [];
if ($rest) {
 foreach (request()->item_id as $key => $value) {
  $items[] = [
'item_id' => request()->item_id[$key],
'type_id' => request()->type_id[$key],
'brand' => request()->brand[$key],
'quantity' => request()->quantity[$key],
'price' => request()->price[$key],
];
}
 $rest->details()->createMany($items);
}

And it works fine but I want to refactor it, using Collection or other methods. but I couldn't.

I have 5 inputs inside blade file with names: item_id[], type_id[], brand[], quantity[] and price[].

Any suggestions?
