Thanks @jeffreyway Still not a fan but as log as it’s current I can adapt to it. Unfortunately sytill, if not logged in, the what’s new is not visible. Not ideal when checking in on public PCs or machines not frequently logged in

@jeffreyway I for one am still seeing a significant delay on the latest episodes appearing in the list of episodes. It seems the cache is only updated once per week on a Saturday/Sunday? Or maybe when you manually do so?

It's a small thing - the rest of the rewrite is very very good indeed!

I love the new design, but two things annoy me

• I have no clue if i completed a course or if it has new episodes.
• The time on reply is wrong, there is a 6 hours difference :D

Thanks for all the feedback everyone. Definitely helps in tweaking the UX and squishing bugs here and there. You can let me know and I will take note of anything mentioned here and whenever possible, it will get fixed...or improved.

In the meantime, we're working on some improvements around the forum to make things easier and clearer and more in tune with the brand. Just keep checking around for goodies :)

I am enjoying Laracasts, really fresh design and it all seems to work okay, I'm making progress and I seem to be able to keep track of what I am doing and get notifications to new episodes to the series i have subscribed to. I don't use it on a mobile phone, just desktop.

Anyway, the one thing that does keep bugging me is how the search field shows your search term but doesn't let you edit it, so if my first search doesn't give me the results I want I have to type the whole thing again.

A minor thing which I am learning to overcome by copying my queries before hitting enter.

An interesting HCI discussion to be had here, maybe? ;)

Pagination is really annoying, this thread is a good example.

If I click on it, it doesn't automatically take me to the latest reply, I have to scroll and load more.

From a users profile if I click on a recent activity item (using the one from musa11971 above as an example).

It takes me to a url that looks like this "https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/site-improvements/all-problems-with-the-new-laracasts-design?page=5#reply-491275"

But it just shows the start of the topic, not page 5 or the specific post I clicked to read

@ROBJBRAIN - yeah, thought it was just me but it looks like the pagination just doesn't work at all with the dynamically loaded replies...

EDIT: to add to that, after posting a reply on a thread you get beamed up to the top again, without being shown your new reply

It seems there is a little bug with tags and videos:

for example on this page: https://laracasts.com/lessons/introducing-lumen

when I click the tag "microservice" suggested under the video

then the search results are empty...

I guess it should return at least the initial video...
