Anyone watching the videos on smart TV. I'm getting blank screen on all pages with videos. The homepage is working properly. It was working fine with the old design. Samsung tv with tizen

[FIXED] The meta tag I think it is which customizes the title bar color on Chrome mobile is still the old teal.

On mobile chrome browser - When I click my profile pic & open my menu, the lifetime badge overlaps the Watchlist link. The sign-out link is also overlapping.

MINOR issues with profile:

On smaller viewports, the tooltip pop-ups for the far-left and far-right achievements render outside the container and are cut off. (Chrome 69)

When on mobile, taping the achievement triggers the popup (still cut off), but while the tool-tip is open, vertical scroll is broken and keeps skipping back to the top. This doesn't happen if the tooltip fits within the container. (Google Pixel 1 - Chrome 70)

@JeffreyWay - fanastic new design. I'm sure you have more pressing issues, just wanted to let you know.

One thing I find myself wishing we had was the percentage completed on each series card.

@jeffreyway would you please fix the 'them-color' meta? The address bar of android chrome still uses the old greenish color that looks weird and does not match with overall look which by the way is very awesome.

In the firefox inspector I can confirm it is set to content="#4fb6b5".

@jeffreyway I only can see my profile for less than 1 second, after that it shows just a blank page with this error " ReferenceError: Route is not defined on vendor.js"

Love the new UI very much. Custom icons are great. App is very easy to use.

I personally missing "catalog" view. Wish to see last uploaded videos (sorted by "uploaded at" date). So I can see newest/oldest videos without browsing the series.

Anyway, with or without this feature I trully enjoy new Laracasts design. Wonderful peace of work!

Now from the front page, I have to go to "browse courses" (that goes to the series listing...) then on "browse", wait for it to load, then uncheck the preselected "series" filter

Just noticed that when someone selects a Best Answer, the discussion list displays "Updated xx yy ago by zzzz" -, zzzz being the last user who posted, not the OP who just updated the discussion.

Is a bit tricky. To get this one wished view I've to do one of following steps:

1. save url you provided (thanks, easiest way) or
2. search for an empty string in upper right corner or
3. deselect by default selected "lesson type" when ever I visit "BROWSE" category or
4. modify query string directly

Small issue on the display of dates.

On the main page, where we see all threads, I saw "Posted 2 minutes ago by" or "Updated 21 seconds ago" (which seems correct). When I go in the thread, the post is showing as posted 6h ago.

I don't know if it's due to my timezone, For information, i'm in UTC +1

This is just a minor suggestion but the sidebar list of episodes when viewing a video (alongside disqus) could have a clearer highlighting of watched videos.

At the moment the white episode number becomes a white tick, but this isn't easily seen when scanning through as the circle background is the same. I think the text could have a faded colour or some secondary highlight colour like the normal green "completed" highlight.

But generally, my feedback would be that the new site looks amazing. Props to all involved :)

A suggestion and (what appears to be) a bug on the Browse page :

• in the "My Laracasts" it would be nice to have a filter to display only non viewed videos
• with the "Lesson type" "Series" checked, some series that I have fully viewed (like "How to Accept Payments"), doesn't appear with the blue check over their thumbnail

I noticed that the list of the latest lessons seems to be cached and does not show all of the lessons. I've tried removing all of the filters but it did not help. Possible bug?

@JEFFREYWAY - I dont mean to be rude here @jeffreyway, but you've taken something that was in plain sight and one click to reach something, and moved it behind a concealed avatar which shows a menu (once you find the link here in the first place), or takes 3 clicks from the homepage (browse course > browse > clear filter )and 2 page loads (ok 4 was exaggerating but the page loads makes up for it) - If you are not logged in and just want to see the latest videos, this is the only way - you dont have the profile avatar links to follow

Whats new should be available from the main menu. In this thread alone there are a few people who bring up exactly the same usability issue.

Still an issue on Chrome mobile until I scroll a tiny bit down & the Crome address bar disappears & the menu gains that vertical space.

User menu needs a vertical scroll for phones that aren't tall.

Not a bug but I really miss the option to filter by unwatched lessons. That filter was my "to do"-list for the site :( If the "What's new"-functionality is supposed to be the alternative it doesn't work. The latest video shown there for me was published november 19. Besides that I want a view that only shows unwatched lessons and isn't cluttered with watched lessons as well. The only way I could know there was a new lesson "Publishing Beta Releases to NPM" published is because I subscribe to the RSS-feed :/

• The side filter on the left is counting in archived series/videos, but the series/video links are not appearing on the right. Please include archived series/videos for reference purposes.

• The filtering is not responding with the correct results, the results are random. You have to refresh the page and tick again to fix it.

• Sometimes, when you edit a topic that you created, on the pop up window, the content section loads the title instead of the actual content description.

@BAUGMBH - i used to use "catalog" to follow the new uploaded lesson and now seem no way to list all the new episode as the "browse" nor the "What's new" is not updated accordingly, even the following series had new episode it's not shown in the list immediately.

@JEFFREYWAY - "What's New" is not update accordingly.

I clicked on the "What's New" and it list the result with "episode" type filter but the newly uploaded hours ago episode, "Custom Events and Listeners" is not in the results.

I remove all the filters, the top in the list still is the "Model Hooks and Seesaws".

I also can't get the rss feed to work in outlook

@OLYCKNE - I have the same request. Also a similar problem with the list not showing recently published videos.

It also has two videos stuck on "In Progress" that I can't seem to clear.

@SIANGBOON - Seems unfortunate that @jeffreyway doesnt have the same view on using the old catalog way to find new episodes. Unfortunately ive found myself checking in less and less because of this, as current new content is just not visible at a glance, and it seems like the same 'old' content is hogging the top positions.

This seriously needs to be addressed. i too just found out there are 2 new episodes here https://laracasts.com/series/laravel-from-scratch-2018 that are not visible in the "whats new" link hidden behind your avatar (ONLY WHEN LOGGED IN), or in browse by ticking episode.

Why is this still so difficult to see a chronological release of episodes, especially when not logged in (e.g. checking at work, public computers etc)

Still appreciate your content Jeffrey, but have to again, strongly disagree on your approach to showing episodes.

@WING5WONG - The "What's New" page is where you should go. It was just a delayed caching issue, which I've now fixed.
