I was hoping by now Jeffrey would have a simple video for users who are going to use HostGator a Go Daddy or something like that with some instructions on setting it up. But here is the original instructions that @Qlic gave, it works https://laracasts.com/discuss/channels/laravel/upload-project-laravel?page=1

Check to make sure it's the correct PHP version and upload it via FTP but do install it correctly https://laravel-news.com/subfolder-install

Don't forget to import your SQL dump, and change the configuration as necessary.

All of this should only take 15 minutes at most.

On clients static website simply put a link to the dynamic data, you have a menu or something correct? Or however the client wants it set up that's between you and client.

The documentation covers how to handle Apache vs. Nginx installs.

Maybe you should migrate his static page to a view using blade engine to make it dynamic, then you can change the '/' route return this view.

Best regards.

when i open the cpanel i find headers with 1)files 2)databses 3)domains 4)email and so on. @jlrdw plz get me started

also the entire project of laravel takes around 30 mbs of memory.does not that make our webite very slow????i mean there are a lot of files around7000.

willvincent

@renoirfaria has a good idea if the existing site is just a single static page.

@anmol No. Not absolutely everything will be loaded on every request.

It really sounds like you're out of your depth here.. I hope you're not charging this client very much.

anmol

yes,i actually am out of my depth.i have no idea about what happens and what to do once we make our application in the localserver.@willvincent no i am just charging 75 dollars for a shipment tracking website.had to make backend for employees and front end for users to enter the track id and get the details.and it actually was little tricky.

YouTube has videos on deployment to Shared hosting perhaps find a couple of them to get a better idea of what's involved also the host your client is using should have a help link.

I wish you luck getting it all set up. But if you do have severe problems always be a straight shooter and just admit to the client you having trouble. In the long run people will respect someone who is a straight shooter. But I will give you one thing, you have really put effort into it, and you are trying.
