@TRAY2 - The main purpose of this package was to make the way of writing queries similar to those of symfony.

The example that is in the package doc is a simple illustration to understand how to use the package.

Here are some examples below:

User::join('authers', 'authers.user_id', '=', 'users.id')
  ->leftJoin('phones', 'phones.user_id', '=', 'users.id')
  ->Join('accounts', 'accounts.user_id', '=', 'users.id')
  ->whereKey(2)
  ->where('accounts.type', 'Paypal')
  ->get(['users.name', 'phones.id', 'authers.price']);

The example above seems normal but you write a lot, here is how to write this request thanks to the package:

User::withJoin('authers', 'phones', 'accounts')
  ->whereKey('u.id', 2)
  ->where('a.type', 'Paypal')
  ->get(['u.name', 'p.id', 'a.price']);

The package joins and aliases your tables for you. What is not to understand the top, is not it a simplicity ... and you have the right to hydrate the results obtained from a SQL query in the form of an entity as in symfony .

User::whereKey(1)->getEntity ();

Now it is good !

@DEVFREY - Hi !

The package does not replace eloquent I specify. It simply avoids repeating ** join **, ** leftJoin **, ** rightJoin ** when you join your codes.

@DEVFREY - Salut

Le package ne remplace pas éloquent je précise. Il permet simplement d'éviter de répéter join, leftJoin, rghtJoin lorsque vous faites de jointure dans vos codes.

Here is how this package will be useful :) :

-Facilitated how to write join in your codes. -Make aliases in your tables during your queries.

  • Retrieve data from a query as a entity.

Personally I do not think it would be useful to add ** group by ** and ** order by ** in the package. since we imagine that you will use the join differently in your queries.

here are two simple examples:

  1. In this first query, we use group by and order by
$quy = Powner::query()->leftJoin('dc_pets', 'dc_powners.ownerid', '=', 'dc_pets.ownerid')
                ->select('dc_powners.ownerid', 'dc_powners.oname')
                ->selectRaw('count(dc_pets.petid) as countOfPets')
                ->groupby('dc_powners.ownerid')
                ->orderby('dc_powners.oname')
                ->get();
  1. In another query, we do not use these methods
$quy = Powner::query()->leftJoin('dc_pets', 'dc_powners.ownerid', '=', 'dc_pets.ownerid')
                ->select('dc_powners.ownerid', 'dc_powners.oname')
                ->selectRaw('count(dc_pets.petid) as countOfPets')
                ->get();
