Replied to Laravel Deployment In HTTPS

@automica, https://robindirksen.nl/blog/laravel-redirect-to-https-a-middleware-to-force-https this is one of the tutorials I've been following. Also I do have Laravel 8 installation and uses apache2 as the webserver. We already have set up the https in server and it does works with plain PHP but not in Laravel. When replacing http with https the server returns 404 "requested url not found".

Started a new Conversation Laravel Events

Currently I can trigger events in the controller after saving the data, but my problem is I was also notified to the event that 'I' triggered. This is my current code:

if($is_message_saved == true) { broadcast(new NewMessage($data))->toOthers(); } return response()->json($is_message_saved);

Hello, I am new to ReactJs and I am creating a Single Page Application that constantly checks changes from database table. Articles that I read points me to use timer. Is there Better way than checking database changes in real time without using timer.

Replied to Is It Possible To Have Different Login Method

sorry @jlrdw I really don 't get it. I have different table for user and admin, the user will use email and the admin will use employee id to login. As you said I can use the 2 (email and employee id) as username to login. But there is a line in DatabaseUserProvider and EloquentUserProvider it only pertains to one return which is email / or id.

I use Laravel UI, but in login it only accepts email and password. What if my admin user uses employee id instead of email.

Replied to Is It Possible To Have Different Login Method

Hi @jlrdw I am using the default auth scaffolding of laravel, when I checked the DatabaseUserProvider and the EloquentUserProvider in the vendor folder, the parameters are 'email' and 'password' only.

In my system, I want to have 2 different users, "user" and "admin" the only difference is that in login the "admin" will use employee id and the "user" is will use their email. is it possible?

Replied to Is It Possible To Have Different Login Method

Thanks for the answer SilenceBringer, I cannot show any code to you right now. Well here' s what I want to do, I want to have a 2 different user in my system which is "user" and "admin", both of them must have a register, email verification and forgot password option. But when it comes to login I want the "user" to login using their email and I want the "admin" to login using employee id. Is it possible?

Started a new Conversation Is It Possible To Have Different Login Method

Let 's say I have 2 middleware for authentication which is "user" and "admin", Is it possible to use email in user middleware and id in admin middleware? In short I want to have different login method in these separate middleware.
