Replied to Global Elements When Testing Endpoint

That makes sense, thank you.

Replied to Global Elements When Testing Endpoint

Thanks Bobby. Is there a typical way to make global items available across a variety of tests, so I don't have to keep recreating those items to make them available? Maybe a trait that can simply be imported in for the tests?

Started a new Conversation Global Elements When Testing Endpoint

Noob test question: How does one perform AssertStatus or any other test that looks at an endpoint, when the view in question also is displaying global elements that are dynamic, and the table that is getting tested, is unaware of?

I am getting failed tests because of undefined variables and objects that are the global elements that live on the layout, such as menus and pieces of text, that are populated from other tables.

Thank you.

Commented on A Thread Can Have Replies

From the next lesson, here is how I resolved those tests that shouldn't be passing:

Commented on A Thread Can Have Replies

Same here on Laravel 6. Last test, "a_user_can_read_replies_that_are_associated_with_a_thread" passes, even when association to replies has not been made yet. I have to pull out the whole @foreach ($thread->replies as $reply) loop, to get it to fail.
