uicreative left a reply on Recursive Tags

Thanks for the reply, I managed to solve it by creating an extra method on the TagController called childrenRecursive and then called Tag::with('childrenRecursive').

uicreative started a new conversation Recursive Tags

Hello,

So i have a tags model which has a parent_id, the relationships are Parent and Child.

so a Tag can have another Tag->id as its Parent_id.

I need a way to build a resource response as follows:

return [ 'id' => $item['id'], 'text' => $item['name'], 'children' => [ 'id' => $item['id'], 'text' => $item['name'], 'children' => [ 'id' => $item['id'], 'text' => $item['name'], 'children' => [

                     ]
                  ]
            ]
       ];

This needs to be recursive as there could be infinite number of children.

Any suggestions arew welcome.

uicreative started a new conversation Getting And Setting Meta Field Data

I have a table 'data_sources' that has a 'meta' field which contains the following data:

[{"sensor_id": 126345, "organization_id": 121}]

The 'data_sources' table has a relationship with the 'services' table.

Is there a way i can retrieve the 'sensor_id' and 'organization_id' when present and use like this:

$service->sensor_id ? or $service->get_data('sensor_id')

Any suggestions would be grately appreciated.

I am trying to attach the license to the user, not retrieve it?

uicreative started a new conversation Associate Not Working

Good Morning,

I have 2 models, User and License. License has a hasMany relationship to user and user belongsTo license.

I have a license_id column on the users table.

when trying to associate i am using the following:

Auth::user()->license()->associate($license);

This is not working, any ideas?

uicreative left a reply on Extra Check After Login

Thats great, Thanks guys.

uicreative started a new conversation Extra Check After Login

Hi,

I would like to add a license check after login. If the user has a license then it would redirect as normal to home. If not then it would show the license form. Would it be best to use middleware for this and if so how would i implement?
