Replied to Http Client - Attach A File From S3 Doesn't Work...

Yes that did the trick - saving the file locally and then sending the local copy. Bit of a faff, but it works - thanks for the help @bobbybouwmann 👍

Replied to Http Client - Attach A File From S3 Doesn't Work...

its essentially:

$response = Illuminate\Support\Facades\Http::attach('file', $spatieMediaLibMediaModel->stream())
    ->acceptJson()
    ->post('https://some-endpoint.api');

dd($response->json());

/**
  [
     "message" => "The given data was invalid.",
     "errors" => [
       "file" => [
         "The file must be a file.",
       ],
     ],
   ]

Started a new Conversation Http Client - Attach A File From S3 Doesn't Work...

I'm having an issue when using the Http client and sending a file from an s3 Storage disk.

A local filesystem disk works as expected, but s3 returns a validation error that the file is missing (end endpoint I'm sending to is another Laravel app)

Anyone had this issue or could help out with finding the solution?

Awarded Best Reply on I Just Installed Php7.4 On A Forge Server And Now Getting 502's

So I manually upgraded php and that seems to have fixed it all. Now I'm not going to touch it anymore today because It's one of those days and I don't want to tempt fate. And its 4pm.

Started a new Conversation Http::attach() A Stream() Works, But Using A String Does Not.

Hey hey

So I'm using the Http client and attaching a file to the request.

Using a stream works fine as per the docs Http::attach('file', fopen('path-to-file', 'r'))->post('...') However using a string (again as per the docs) does not seem to work Http::attach('file', file_get_contents('path-to-file'))->post('...') The file attachment is not sent in this case - server returns error that no file was sent.

Anyone else had this issue. Is it just me or...?
