Commented on Prerequisite - Blade Components Explained

For the Livewire users out there, from what I have experienced, using a layout component with an anonymous slot will clash if you try to use the Route::livewire() helper.

I have not found a way around this as it appears the Livewire route macros will only let you use that helper/shortcut to the previous pattern of defining a layout with @extends() and @section()/@yield(). At the moment if you want to use the route helper in livewire and have layouts as components for this top-down approach you will still need to use a controller to get the view which has the Livewire component in it.

Unless of course I have missed something.

Started a new Conversation View & Sort Videos By Date

Not sure if I'm just missing it, but I think it might be worth adding the ability to filter/sort laracasts and searches by date.

I know the recently updated section exists and you can check the actual video, but for example, sometimes when there are several videos on a topic spanning over a few years, you have to check each individual video to see which is more current rather than pick from the card or search results.

Another use case is many series get updated frequently, but only a few feature, so it would be a handy way to "zoom out" and get a more "birds-eye" view on what's new across all the content.

Perhaps even a "last updated" on the series card might help too?

Commented on Build The Follow Form

Another solution like @jeffreyway hinted for the bottom border on the tweet loop, is if you're using Tailwind CSS is to set last:border-b-0.

Just be aware you may need to set it in your tailwind.config.js as a variant like I found out when trying to use that the other day. See: Tailwind Documentation

_tweet.blade.php

<div class="flex p-4 border-b border-b-gray-400 last:border-b-0">

tailwind.config.js

module.exports = {
  variants: {
    borderWidth: ['responsive', 'last', 'hover', 'focus'],
    // Plus any other variants you want
  },
}
