skyhackvip left a reply on I Have A Question About Db Read/write

How to use selectFromWriteConnection in the model

skyhackvip left a reply on I Have A Question About Db Read/write

@rikh +1 yes. that's exactly what i mean!

skyhackvip left a reply on I Have A Question About Db Read/write

Somethings like this.

I have two database. one for write(master),one for read(slave). And I config the database.php.The laravel will auto do this. (select query from read db. update,insert from write db)

But! Sometimes I want to confirm a record from master(write) db. So I try to use function setMasterDB(). And then all the select query will connect to master(write) db.

So I have to write a function recoveryDB()

skyhackvip left a reply on I Have A Question About Db Read/write

class BaseModel extends Model {

//force to master
public function setMasterDB() {
    $this->setConnection('mysql::write');
    $this->getConnection();
}

//force to salve
public function setSlaveDB() {
    $this->setConnection('mysql::read');
    $this->getConnection();
}

//resume
public function recoverDB() {
//how to recover????????????
}

}

skyhackvip left a reply on I Have A Question About Db Read/write

@pmall yeah, I have both of db write and db read. config like this: 'mysql' => [ 'read' => [ 'database' => 'test1', ], 'write' => [ 'database' => 'test2', ], 'driver' => 'mysql', 'host' => env('DB_HOST', 'localhost'), 'username' => env('DB_USERNAME', 'root'), 'password' => env('DB_PASSWORD', ''), ... ],

skyhackvip started a new conversation I Have A Question About Db Read/write

it's about db read/write

when i use DB::connection to indicate the connection like this:

$result = DB::connection('mysql::write')->select('SELECT * FROM myuser');

it will read from write database.but after that, i want it be resume (that means query read from read db, write to write db).

but it seems in this request all the query is connecting to write db.

How can i resume??
