My idea is to the generate the JSON string to then Loop through it when a user wants to create a profile with the options available to that camera model.
Do you mean a column in the DB for each setting?
Example: ISO_100, ISO_160, ISO_200 so on and so forth?
Sorry if im sounding stupid... first big project lol.
Started a new Conversation Some Advice On Building A JSON String From A Form Submit.
So im building my first proper application but have hit a stumbling block. i need to ability to add camera profiles to a DB. There will be be changes and extra fields that will be added to the camera profiles over the months/years.
I think i have the right idea of it with Generating a JSON string to a single DB column, so when i update the form in the future it wont effect any of the "old" camera entries, it will just add to the JSON String.
My problem is i have no idea where to start with it. Should i use something like Livewire and build the string on the fly or should i just use a regular controller to submit the form and then make the JSON string in the controller.
Apologies for sounding a little vague... don't wanna give too much away :D
any suggestions on how to do this? have i looked at it the wrong way? and do you know of any videos that show something similar to what i want online?
