You do realize this question was about Nova. They don’t allow you to change the input type when using resources.

I’m aware of display:none just seems like a hack vs using a simple input type hidden.

Has anyone figured out how to add a static hidden input in Nova

sicsol started a new conversation Multiple Domains Same Code Base

I've looked around for an answer and can't seem to find it. I'd like to use the same code base/repo for multiple domain names. What is the best way to achieve this using Forge?

Adding multiple sites and linking to the same repo seems like overkill because if I setup auto deploy then i can potentially have X number of simultaneous requests and that can potentially kill the servers CPU usage.

Is there a better way to get around this?

My original thought was to setup a default site with the repository and just simply add multiple domains to the server without any repositories associated with them. I'm going to assume they will all use the default code base for serving the sites?

Am I safe to assume this and is this the proper direction to go or is there a better way. I've setup the code base to handle dynamic domains now I just need to figure out the setup.

My end goal is to use the Forge API to automate some of these tasks.

Thanks

sicsol left a reply on [Laravel 5.3] Change /login Auth Redirection

@bmonteiro check the Exceptions > Handler.php file

/**
     * Convert an authentication exception into an unauthenticated response.
     *
     * @param  \Illuminate\Http\Request  $request
     * @param  \Illuminate\Auth\AuthenticationException  $exception
     * @return \Illuminate\Http\Response
     */
    protected function unauthenticated($request, AuthenticationException $exception)
    {
        if ($request->expectsJson()) {
            return response()->json(['error' => 'Unauthenticated.'], 401);
        }

        // return redirect()->guest('login');
        return redirect(env('APP_URL').'/login');
    }

sicsol started a new conversation Migrate Rollback Using --path

I'm trying to rollback a migration that I inserted using the --path parameter.

When trying to rollback I get

[ErrorException]
  Undefined index: 2016_08_24_200946_create_contacts_table

I've included the path in my composer.json file under the autoload classmap setting. The folder exists under the database directory already.

Any help would be appreciated.

FYI using 5.3.1

Thanks guys glad I'm not going insane. Lol

sicsol left a reply on Can I Use Laravel 5.3 Passport As General Auth For A SPA To Laravel API?

@jackbarham

After login you can perform something similar to get an access token for the user

$user = App\User::find(1);

// Creating a token without scopes...
$token = $user->createToken('Token Name')->accessToken;

return $token;

Just be aware you'll be creating a new token each time. You may want to look into something to get an existing token based on device or add a scheduler to delete tokens etc. Again all this is if you want to use the Passport package.

Here is a sample code I used in web.php file

Route::get('/', function () { $exitCode = \Artisan::call('migrate'); });

You can request a personal access token at login and use that for all your api calls

sicsol left a reply on Laravel 5.3 Artisan

@Jaytee mine works in tinker as well. I'm trying to run the code from a controller or route and get no response.

sicsol left a reply on Laravel 5.3 Artisan

@bobbybouwmann The main one is Artisan::call("migrate"). I even tried Artisan::call("inspire") and still get the same thing.

i'm using homestead

sicsol started a new conversation Laravel 5.3

I'm not sure what might have changed but i can't seem to call Artisan::call(XXX) in the new 5.3 version. If i add it to a route, controller, job, etc it just craps out without any error.

I just get the following page

The laravel53.dev page isn’t working
