https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40927414/curl-ssl-certificate-verification-failed

manually pointing guzzle to the pki.google.com cert that i downloaded cleared my errors... don't know if this is the correct way to solve this but it worked!

Hey thanks! I'm still getting stuck. When i do "curl www.whatever-site.com" in the terminal... it actually returns the proper response! (so frustrating that it works here and not in my app) It's only an issue with guzzle/zttp within laravel which makes me think guzzle is just using the wrong path. i.e. its using the system certs instead of the homebrew ones. I've gone through so many forums but can't figure out how to make this work correctly... any ideas? thanks!

I'm getting the cURL error 51: SSL not valid... I've tried redownloading the cacert.pem from cURL and putting in every directory, editing all the php.ini's and I'm running into the same problem every time. Zttp and guzzle just won't let me send out a post request to google.com.... how did you guys fix this?

/@(([^-]*)[\w-]+)/

This is actually pretty much what I needed, thanks for the help though! Much appreciated!

$0 = @testuser-Oct162017

$1 = testuser-Oct162017

$2 = testuser

I tried that in regex and it gives me the same result as before. Am I missing something?

I've looked all over the documentation but I feel like maybe I'm just not understanding something.

Here's my string: @test-user-Oct162017

Using regex how do I get these 3 distinct groups (in no particular order).

$0 = @test-user-Oct162017

$1 = test-user-Oct162017

$2 = test-user

So far my code is /@([\w-]+)/ and I can only get the first $0 and $1... how do I get $2 match group?

Thanks for the help guys!

I'm having trouble calling the "name" so i can save it to a variable. Something like activity->subject->owner->name?... can't figure it out.

Any help would be awesome, thanks!

It seems like there must be a way to manipulate ProfilesController to cycle through all the activity, since Activity accepts each individual user, takes the id and matches that against the activities table. I just can't figure out where I'm going wrong. I should be able to simply cycle through each activity in the create_activities table, match/bind the user_id table to the Users table and create a list of activities by their owner.

Oh it's actually right out of Jeffrey's Forum TDD series

Here's the GitHub files.... activity is located in the App directory

Thanks :)

What if i passed the IDs over as a collection? ... just unsure of how to key it

     $otherUsers = $user->where('id', '!=', Auth::id())->get()->pluck('id');
     foreach($otherUsers as $otherUser) {
          return Activity::feed($otherUser, 50);

Has anybody had any luck creating a feed with either all users, or all users except the current user? Just can't seem to get it to work with all the information already in MYSQL. Any suggestions?

Activity class:

public static function allFeed($user, $take = 50) //where $take = feed Activity count # { $otherUsers = $user->where('id', '!=', Auth::id())->get();

     return static::where('user_id', $otherUsers)
           ->latest()
           ->with('subject')
           ->take($take)
           ->get()
           ->groupBy(function ($activity) {
          return $activity->created_at->format('Y-m-d');
     });

}
