Replied to Using MorphTo Relationship In Another Relation..

Sorry to bother you, I found a solution.

I added relationship: Institute hasMany Employee belongsTo Institute. and then the query that works.

$institutes = Institute::where('id', '!=', 1)->with(['employees' => function($query){
            return $query->whereHas("user", function($que){
                return $que->whereHas("roles", function($q){
                    $q->where("name", "Admin");
                });
            });
        }])->get();

But if there is any other way, where I don't have to run such type of multiple queries. It will be appreciated.

Started a new Conversation Using MorphTo Relationship In Another Relation..

Hy!

Sorry if I'm asking an irrelevant question. Actually I've perfect relationship of my models as below:

class User extends Authenticatable
{
    public function loggable()
    {
        return $this->morphTo();
    }
}

class Employee extends Model
{
    public function user()
    {
        return $this->morphOne('App\User', 'loggable');
    }
}

class Student extends Model
{
    public function user()
    {
        return $this->morphOne('App\User', 'loggable');
    }
}

class Guardian extends Model
{
    public function user()
    {
        return $this->morphOne('App\User', 'loggable');
    }
}

Also I'm using Spatie laravel permission package to assign roles to user model. and these other models are to maintain data and relationships between. I've another Model named Institute because this app will be used by multiple institutes at the same time.

Now my concern is to getting user with specific role from Institute model using relationship. Please help me with that. Thanks

Started a new Conversation Nested Relationship With GroupBy And Count

Hi, I'm having trouble getting a very-nested relationship to work correctly in laravel.

The wanted behavior is as follows,

I select an event by ID and I want to see which persons are subscribed to it and groupBy gender and count of gender grouping. Now the problem is there are some tables between the event and the person.

This is the query that works for getting nested relationship!

$events= Event::find($id)->with([
            'company'  => function ($query) {
                $query->select('id', 'name');
            }, 'company.persons'  => function ($query) {
                $query->select('id', 'name', 'gender');
            }
    ])->get();

Here are my models

Event Model

class Event extends Eloquent
{
    protected $table = 'events';

    public function company()
    {
        return $this->belongsTo('Company ');
    }
}

Company Model

class Company extends Eloquent {

    protected $table = 'companies';

    public function persons()
    {
        return $this->hasMany('Person');
    }

    public function events()
    {
        return $this->hasMany('Event');
    }
}

Person Model

class Person extends Eloquent
{
    protected $table = 'persons';

    public function company()
    {
        return $this->belongsTo('Company');
    }
}

I've tried many possibilities, I'm really stuck on this. Is it so difficult in laravel to achieve this kind of nested relationship linking?

Thanks
