Replied to Vue Component Not Found

Hello Charizard, thanks for your reply.

I've renamend my component file to App.vue and modified my import as you suggested:

import App from './components/App.vue'

Now I'm getting a different error:

ERROR in ./resources/js/components/App.vue 1:0
Module parse failed: Unexpected token (1:0)
You may need an appropriate loader to handle this file type, currently no loaders are configured to process this file. See https://webpack.js.org/concepts#loaders

Started a new Conversation Vue Component Not Found

Hello,

I'm trying starting learning Vue with Laravel. I've created a very simple project to start, but I'm running into a problem I don't know how to solve.

When I try to compile my project using Laravel Mix I get this error:

× Mix
  Compiled with some errors in 1.64s

ERROR in ./resources/js/app.js 4:0-39
Module not found: Error: Can't resolve './components/app' in 'C:\Users\Luca\OneDrive\Documenti\Laravel\todolist\resources\js'

It seems that Laravel Mix doesn't find the vue component that I'm importing in the app.js file, but I don't understand why.

The app.js file is the following:

require('./bootstrap');

import Vue from 'vue'
import App from './components/app'

const app = new Vue({
    el: '#app',
    components: { App }
});

The component I'm importing is the app.vue file located in ./components/:

<template>
  <div>Hello!</div>
</template>

<script>
export default {
  name: "App",
};
</script>

I've checked the package.json file and it contains the vue dependecies:

{
    "private": true,
    "scripts": {
        "dev": "npm run development",
        "development": "mix",
        "watch": "mix watch",
        "watch-poll": "mix watch -- --watch-options-poll=1000",
        "hot": "mix watch --hot",
        "prod": "npm run production",
        "production": "mix --production"
    },
    "devDependencies": {
        "axios": "^0.21",
        "laravel-mix": "^6.0.6",
        "lodash": "^4.17.19",
        "postcss": "^8.1.14"
    },
    "dependencies": {
        "vue": "^2.6.12",
        "vue-router": "^3.5.1"
    }
}

Finally, this is the content of my webpack.mix.js file:

mix.js('resources/js/app.js', 'public/js')
    .postCss('resources/css/app.css', 'public/css', [
        //
    ]);

I hope someone may help me.

Thank you so much!

Luca
