Replied to Socialite Issue

Sorry tisuchi, I did get this working after adding the 'base_url' param so all good now. Hopefully the Repo owner accepts the PR above to make it clear for anyone else in future.

Replied to Socialite Issue

I did tisuchi but it looks like I scanned constantly over the glaring hole in the official Github documentation.

My app was missing the following setting that points toward your Okta instance (dev-12345.okta.com) 'base_url' => env('OKTA_BASE_URL')

Spent far too much time as usual on such a small issue but would be nice for it to appear on following site for future reference

https://socialiteproviders.com/Okta/#installation-basic-usage

Anyhoo, working now and off for a beer!

Started a new Conversation Socialite Issue

Hi all, hoping you can help.

I have a base install of Laravel 8.3 that I'm trying to get working with Socialite and the Okta provider. Unfortunately, when I access the route that triggers the redirectToProvider method it redirects me to my localhost route followed by oauth2/v1 etc rather than taking me to Okta.

"http://localhost/oauth2/v1/authorize?client_id"

public function redirectToProvider()
    {
        return Socialite::driver('okta')->redirect();
    }

APP_URL setting in .env is set to the correct full path (its a few deep e.g. localhost/app1/appname/public)

I'm at a loss at what else to try - any suggestions/questions?

Thanks
