evilprogrammer left a reply on Laravel 5.6 All Route Except Index Says Page Not Found On Wamp Php7.1.9

@jdunsmore yeah true but sometimes one app connects to the other. but the virtual host method is not bad either. Thank you

evilprogrammer left a reply on Laravel 5.6 All Route Except Index Says Page Not Found On Wamp Php7.1.9

@jdunsmore Thank you so much that works, but does this mean that my other projects without virtual hosts are not safe to upgrade? i can't imagine having virtual hosts for about 55 laravel projects

evilprogrammer left a reply on Laravel 5.6 All Route Except Index Says Page Not Found On Wamp Php7.1.9

@jdunsmore kinda, am accessing from http://localhost/app/public/foo, do you mean I should use a virtual host domain like link??

evilprogrammer left a reply on Laravel 5.6 All Route Except Index Says Page Not Found On Wamp Php7.1.9

@lostdreamer_nl yes I have done both but still the same, I really don't understand why it works on php artisan serve but not on wamp.

i am still trying to find the error.

@ahmeddabak a white page saying: Sorry, the page you are looking for could not be found.

evilprogrammer started a new conversation Laravel 5.6 All Route Except Index Says Page Not Found On Wamp Php7.1.9

My web.php file contains

Route::get('/', function () { return view('welcome'); });

Route::get('/foo', '[email protected]'); Route::get('/bar', '[email protected]');

Both @foodie and @barbie exists and should return

dd("Hi i worked")

But surprisingly it does not recognize any other route except the default "/" on wamp but it works when using php artisan serve. I also found a post on stack where someone complained the same thing but no solution yet. Every other laravel project works fine on my wamp but laravel new 5.6 does not.

evilprogrammer left a reply on Real Time Chat Using Laravel Echo & Pusher With Out Sending Ajax Post Request

@Jaytee I was thinking there is another way when using laravel echo and pusher

@edoc because I don't see any social network I know sending chat via ajax.

when using socket.io, NodeJs and Redis I don't use ajax calls..

evilprogrammer left a reply on Real Time Chat Using Laravel Echo & Pusher With Out Sending Ajax Post Request

Thanks, @munnakhan you made use of websockets, I am not making use of websockets.

Do you know how i can achieve the same thing with laravel Echo?

evilprogrammer started a new conversation Real Time Chat Using Laravel Echo & Pusher With Out Sending Ajax Post Request

How can I communicate with my server without sending Ajax requests when using Laravel Echo and pusher?

I am creating a Real Time Chat App for fun and i noticed that all videos and tutorials of LARAVEL ECHO uses ajax post request to send a message to the server then use socket to display the sent message to other users.

When building a real time chat is AJAX the only way to send a message to the server??

evilprogrammer left a reply on Laravel 5.4.33 No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' Using Angular 4 As Frontend

sHow do i send header Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * on particular routes.?

evilprogrammer started a new conversation Laravel 5.4.33 No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' Using Angular 4 As Frontend

I have done a lot of research but i cannot find a solution to this

I make use of barryvdh/laravel-cors/

I have done everything as instructed in the package but i still get

XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://localhost/mychatapp/public/api/chat/message. No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'http://localhost:4200' is therefore not allowed access.

If i use postman it works but trying it from my app it does not work

From the research i made some say chrome blocks Access-Control-Allow-Origin and i should make use of an extension that unblocks that feature

Is there any other solution to this?

evilprogrammer started a new conversation Image Upload Using Storage Function To Public Folder

I am building a social network using laravel!! So far i love laravel ans thanks to the pple behind it.

Like we all know social networks tend to use alot of images like user gallery and much storage space also.

The thing is i would like to upload images locally then use a queue to send it to S3 in the background. But displaying these images to the broswer becomes a problem since they are stored in storage folder. From the research i have done i could create a route that would return the image file responce but won't that take more time and server resources?? Is there a way i could use the storage function and save the images in the public/uploads folder??
