Thank you. Worked.

Hi Guys,

I am trying to install a composer repo for Scout driver (elastic search). I am getting a version incompatibility and I don't know how to fix these. If there is a guide out there I haven't seen or if someone could help me resolve would be a great help.

Kind Regards, AJ

@jlrdw thanks for sending that. I have tried all the commands, unfortunatly still no luck. The name space all follows correctly I belive:

  • namespace COMAPNY\NAME\Providers;
  • namespace COMAPNY\NAME\Models;
  • namespace COMAPNY\NAME\Http\Middleware;
  • namespace COMAPNY\NAME\Console\Commands;

migrations doesn't have a namespace.

When I open it in PhpStorm I can command+click the COMAPNY\NAME\Providers\ApiKeyServiceProvider::class, and it will take me to the file so if the IDE knows where it should go why doesn't laravel?

eqxDev left a reply on Package Development • 5 months ago

@jlrdw thanks for the link. I have gone through that and made some progress, it now recognizes it but getting an error when adding it to the app.php service providers.

composer dump-autoload -o php artisan vendor:publish

In ProviderRepository.php line 208:

Class 'company*name*\Providers\ApiKeyServiceProvider' not found

Any ideas for this? Thanks.

Hi,

I am trying to make my first package on Laravel 5.6.

{
    "name": "***company***/***name***",
    "description": "Authorize requests to ***name*** application with API keys and location ID",
    "keywords": ["api", "api key", "authentication", "authorization", "laravel"],
    "license": "MIT",
    "authors": [
        {
            "name": "AJ",
            "email": "[email protected]"
        }
    ],
    "minimum-stability": "stable",
    "require": {
        "php": ">=5.5.9"
    },
    "autoload": {
        "psr-4": {
            "**name**\": "src/***name***/"
        }
    },
    "extra": {
        "laravel": {
            "providers": [
                "***company***\***name***\Providers"
            ],
        }
    },
}

is my composer json for the package I've had to remove some names for contract reasons. But when I try and add the service provider it cannot seem to be located. I have tried running composer dump-autoload and composer update no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance :)

eqxDev started a new conversation Filemanager - Please Help! • 1 year ago

Hi,

I am using simogeo/Filemanager found on github using composer. It never loads any files I think it may be caused by an error I am seeing in network that follows: URL/filemanager/connectors/php/filemanager.php?path=%2F&config=filemanager.config.js&mode=getfolder&showThumbs=true&time=940

I have checked the filemanager folder is in the public folder yet it still is going though the route controller?

(1/1) NotFoundHttpException in RouteCollection.php (line 179)

Please any help will be amazing!

Kind Regards.

@Cronix how can I over rule this?

Is there a way I can see if there are any errors so it is being redirected back to the home page?

eqxDev left a reply on Routing. • 1 year ago

@mikeferry I tried that but making a new function for it.

eqxDev left a reply on Routing. • 1 year ago

@MaverickChan public function show() { dd("test"); /* $result = Category::where('category_url', strtolower($category))->where('enabled', '1')->get(); if(!isset($result[0])) { return redirect()->to('/'); } return view('categories.index')->with('category', $result)->with('items', Item::all()->where('category_id',$result[0]['id']));*/ }

@MaverickChan I am using valet.

eqxDev left a reply on Routing. • 1 year ago

@MaverickChan I temporary added dd("test"); to the top so none of the code inside gets run. It gets redirected to the home page before the dd runs. I have just tried making a new function just for this and its the same result.

eqxDev started a new conversation Routing. • 1 year ago

Hi,

Here is my web.php file:

Route::get('/', '[email protected]');

Route::get('/{category}', '[email protected]');

Route::get('/{category}/{item}', '[email protected]');

Route::get('/test', '[email protected]');

so the issue is that /test doesn't work it redirects me to the home page. In the controller I had it as dd("test"); and that never gets called. It almost skips the test and takes you straight to the home page.

Also if I put like /gwesfwef into the address its not a route yet it also forwards to the home page.

Thanks in advance. AJ.

jlrdw, your right! I changed the value and the output changed. Any ideas on why its doing that?

eqxDev left a reply on MySQL Returning Incorrect Values. • 1 year ago

In the database there is currently one UUID for testing purposes. That is: 0d8de330-fe4b-4a9a-9126-c1148f048d30

I set my UUID string in the code to: 123.

It still returns 1.

I then do a dd(); on the query output.

Thank you for linking me that although it doesn't have any info on why my database query using the laravel query builder returns the first result when it should be null.

Hi,

Using this method: $id = DB::table('profiles')->where("uuid", $uuid)->value("id"); Returns the Profile ID from the Users UUID.

My issue is when there is no profile with that UUID it returns 1 instead of null.

Thank you for your help in advanced.
