Replied to How Important And Necessary Is UUID At Laravel?

that is why, why is there a UUID? while ID alone is sufficient.

In my application, I don't display the ID at all.

Replied to How Important And Necessary Is UUID At Laravel?

@martinbean I am just confused because from several articles that I read, the conclusion that I can get is that UUID secures the user ID (disguises) so that the ID is not easy to guess.

the question is how weak the ID is in Laravel's auth and guard systems. if there is no effect what is the UUID made for? what is the greatest use of UUIDs?

This question arises when I look at UUIDs in spatie/laravel-permission

then if the UUID overloads the server, it is good to use UUID in what cases?

actually this question has to do with spatie/laravel-permission

Replied to How Important And Necessary Is UUID At Laravel?

thank you for answering, but the answer sounds very general

The simple question is, how to bypass Laravel's guard and auth by just spoiling the id?

how important is UUID?

  • what are the advantages and disadvantages of UUIDs over int inc IDs? (for Laravel)
  • are the safeguards that Laravel includes insufficient?

"in this case I don't expose the id to the user" do you still need to use UUID?

Replied to Where The Jetstream Route Is Placed

@ekrist1

meaning I can't do what I did with laravel/ui on jetstream or fortify?

Route::domain('sub1.example.dev')->group( function () {
	Auth:routes();
	.....
});

Route::domain('sub2.example.dev')->group( function () {
	Auth:routes();
	.....
});

Replied to Where The Jetstream Route Is Placed

I found it in vendor/laravel/fortify/routes/routes.php, but how / where is this called?

Replied to Where The Jetstream Route Is Placed

jetstream routes are not listed in routes / web.php but they do. and he exists only in the root domain.

for example in laravel ui I can call Auth: routes () across multiple domain groups.

Route::domain('sub1.example.dev')->group( function () {
	Auth:routes();
	.....
});

Route::domain('sub2.example.dev')->group( function () {
	Auth:routes();
	.....
});

Started a new Conversation Routes Are Automatically Redirected To Root

I created a route like this

Route::get('foo/bar', function () {
	return 'Hello World!';
});

when I access it automatically redirects to the root page.

how to solve this so that I can access the url?
