Replied to Redirect After Subscribe Possible In New Spark?

Saw that, doesn't work with the new spark, unfortunately. The redirect never happens even though the event is called.

Started a new Conversation Redirect After Subscribe Possible In New Spark?

When a user creates a new subscription, I need to redirect them to a setup screen. I can't seem to find a way to do that with the new Spark. Any ideas?

Replied to Jetstream And Fortify Vs. Laravel UI

Instead of Auth::loginUsingId($id) I switched it to: Auth::guard('web')->loginUsingId($id) and it worked for me. Thanks to @jameshislop!

Yes, web route, not token-based. I cleared all the caches except the view one, I'll try it again clearing that too.

Replied to Jetstream And Fortify Vs. Laravel UI

I think I found the root cause:

When you install Jetstream the route it creates for the dashboard page uses sanctum, here's the default:

Route::middleware(['auth:sanctum', 'verified'])->get('/dashboard', function () {
    return view('dashboard');
})->name('dashboard');

If you get rid of the 'auth:sanctum' and change it to 'auth' everything works fine.

Any idea why auth:sanctum is the default?

Hope this saves someone else the day I spent on it.

The github issue was closed, apparently this behavior is intended. The answer was: "The exception is correct for the RequestGuard. You need to configure your application to use the SessionGuard if you want to utilise this specific method."

Can anyone tell me how I would do that?

For some reason that doesn't work for me, I still get the same error. I've entered a bug report on the Jetstream repository.

Yep, doesn't work though, must not work the same with Fortify behind the scenes?

Already imported, makes no difference.

Rebuilt an app with Laravel 8 / Jetstream. For me, Jetstream is a CRAZY time saver. All the administration stuff is scaffolded for you...

Anyway, the one problem I have is in the old app I used the Auth::loginUsingID($id) helper to impersonate users for support.

That does not work with Jetstream / Fortify, of course, you get "Method Illuminate\Auth\RequestGuard::loginUsingId does not exist."

I have of course imported the Auth facade, but that makes no difference.

Any direction on how I can achieve this?
