Replied to Laravel Caching Error - File_put_content File Not Found

@saurabh Its not a views caching problem, its a data caching problem. It seems like a bug within Laravel because it's not creating all the folders

framework/cache/data/ - exists

framework/cache/data/80 - exists

framework/cache/data/80/b6 - doesn't exist - errors

Started a new conversation Laravel Caching Error - File_put_content File Not Found

I have this really strange error that I'm struggling to figure out.

I have a command that will cache the homepage. If I run cache:clear then command:updateCaches

And then try and load the site it tells me

file_put_contents(/home/sites/staff.habbocreate.com/storage/framework/cache/data/80/b6/80b69166730ee957730d0770e96781dbd90ae953): failed to open stream: No such file or directory (View: /home/sites/staff.habbocreate.com/resources/views/frontend/home.blade.php)

Its like being logged out causes the error. Except, I can cache the first time without being logged in via my browser and that works no problem.

Here is HomeController.php https://pastebin.com/P1uNNWEs

I don't expect anyone to figure it out, just an idea why it might be going wrong. Any help would appreciated though.

Replied to Changing Blade's Escape Tags

Yeah they removed it from Laravel 5. So that won't work anymore. Instead you can edit manually in BladeCompiler.

I'm going to use my IDE find + replace to change them instead.

I'm upgrading a laravel 4.2 project to 5.4 and I would like to know if I can change {!! to {{{. There are hundreds of files that I will have to go through and manually change otherwise and it would be easier to change the syntax.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Replied to Including A Class Through Out The Whole Project Without Having To Define Its Namespace

@Swaz I get this error:

https://gyazo.com/a19ba8b66430b5116d05cb3f6091b9ad

I'm not sure what to do. I'm still learning 5.4.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention I added this line to my aliases

'Input' => \Illuminate\Support\Facades\Input::class,

You can create a table that contains the following

id | parent_id | name

A main category could look like this:

1 | null | First category

A sub category could look like this:

2 | 1 | First category > Sub Menu 1

3 | 1 | First category > Sub Menu 2

4 | 1 | First category > Sub Menu 3

A sub sub category could look like this

5 | 2 | First category > Sub Menu 1 > Sub Sub menu 1

Then it's your job to write code into the model to check if it has any sub categories

Started a new conversation Including A Class Through Out The Whole Project Without Having To Define Its Namespace

I was wondering if it was possible to include a class throughout the whole of a Laravel project.

For example, I want to use "Input" (Illuminate\Support\Facades\Input)

Example: Input::get('myInput');

I am currently converting a Laravel 4.2 project to 5.4 and there are a lot of Inputs used in the project. It would be easier to include Input globally rather than include the namespace in hundreds of different files

This is not a Laravel question. Look up how to create UL dropdowns
