Replied to PSR-4 And Upgrading To Composer 2

Thanks for the explanation, I did try to read the page, but still found it a bit confusing.

Sounds like I might be forced into updating all the namespaces then to include my company name as the vendor name, plus I guess all those places where I use the classes need to be updated too.

So it should be...?

namespace Packages\Redtangle\Transaction\Events;

at the top of my files?

Or is that saying there should ALWAYS be a vendor namespace AND a sub-namespace, so then it would just be... Redtangle\Transaction\Events

Previously I would have thought "Transaction" as my vendor namespace and "Events" was by sub-namespace.

Started a new Conversation PSR-4 And Upgrading To Composer 2

I've been getting a lot of warnings recently regarding upgrading to composer 2. It's mainly complaining about the PSR-4 autoloading standard.

Deprecation Notice: Class Transaction\Events\TransactionChange located in D:/BitBucket/edukudu-2020/packages/redtangle/transaction\src\Events\TransactionChange.php does not comply with psr-4 autoloading standard. It will not autoload anymore in Composer v2.0. in phar://C:/ProgramData/ComposerSetup/bin/composer.phar/src/Composer/Autoload/ClassMapGenerator.php:201

I usually load a whole package in composer

"autoload": {
        "classmap": [
            "database/seeds",
            "database/factories"
        ],
        "psr-4": {
            "Transaction\": "packages/redtangle/transaction"
        }
},

This would register a ServiceProvider from... packages\redtangle\transaction\src\TransactionServiceProvider.php

<?php

namespace Transaction;

use Illuminate\Support\ServiceProvider;

class TransactionServiceProvider extends ServiceProvider
{
	public function boot() {
		$this->loadMigrationsFrom(__DIR__.'/migrations');
		$this->loadRoutesFrom(__DIR__ . '/routes/api.php');
		$this->loadRoutesFrom(__DIR__ . '/routes/console.php');
		$this->loadRoutesFrom(__DIR__ . '/routes/web.php');
	}

	public function register() {

	}
}

and the event file above would looking something like... residing at "packages\redtangle\transaction\src\Events\TransactionChange.php"

<?php

namespace Transaction\Events;

use Illuminate\Broadcasting\Channel;
use Illuminate\Queue\SerializesModels;
use Illuminate\Broadcasting\PrivateChannel;
use Illuminate\Broadcasting\PresenceChannel;
use Illuminate\Foundation\Events\Dispatchable;
use Illuminate\Broadcasting\InteractsWithSockets;
use Illuminate\Contracts\Broadcasting\ShouldBroadcast;

use Transaction\Models\Transaction;

class TransactionChange
{
    use Dispatchable, InteractsWithSockets, SerializesModels;

    public $transaction;

    /**
     * Create a new event instance.
     *
     * @return void
     */
    public function __construct(Transaction $transaction)
    {
        $this->transaction = $transaction;
    }

    /**
     * Get the channels the event should broadcast on.
     *
     * @return \Illuminate\Broadcasting\Channel|array
     */
    public function broadcastOn()
    {
        return new PrivateChannel('channel-name');
    }
}

This is just one of 11 packages in the project, and just about every file in the package it's complaining about, so would be good if it's an easy fix somewhere.

Replied to Letsencrypt For Domain With A Redirect Rule

I just came to Laracasts to ask this exact question, over the last week, i've seen about a half dozen subdomain based sites fail to renew, it seems to be where the main domain is on one IP, but the subdomain is on another IP. Or as yo say there's a redirect in place. This seems to be affecting a variety of sites where the DNS is managed in different places. So not simply something to do with cloudflare for example.

Started a new Conversation Forge Wildcard LetsEncrypt With Cloudflare

I try to install a LetsEncrypt certificate via Cloudflare

I have it set for *.domain.com,domain.com I pick Cloudflare I enter an API token I have created follwing the requirements here:

https://forge.laravel.com/docs/1.0/sites/ssl.html#letsencrypt

However it errors with the following...

Missing properties in credentials configuration file letsencrypt/creds.ini:

  • Property "dns_cloudflare_email" not found (should be email address associated with Cloudflare account).
  • Property "dns_cloudflare_api_key" not found (should be API key for Cloudflare account, obtained from https://dash.cloudflare.com/profile/api-tokens). cp: cannot stat '/etc/letsencrypt/live/certificate/privkey.pem': No such file or directory cp: cannot stat '/etc/letsencrypt/live/certificate/fullchain.pem': No such file or director

there is no folder at /etc called letsencrypt, so not sure where it tries to find the cred.ini file.
