Replied to Laravel 6.0
Great it is out, but for now you can really use it yet, cause all packages you want to use still require 5.8 in the composer.json. It will probably take a few weeks for all major packages to update to version 6.
The cost of cutting edge...:-)
Replied to How Many Queries Is Too Many?
You might want to achieve this with sub selects within one query.
Have a look at Jonathan Reininks Advanced Eloquent package.
Replied to Package Boilerplate
Currently, it'll just set you up with an empty package that's already ready for testing and can be released as a composer package.
I might be adding some generators for things that get added to packages very often, like migrations and config files.
At the moment it's an installer that I personally use, but maybe someone can benefit from it as well.
Started a new Conversation Package Boilerplate
Just to whom it concerns. I've recently built a package boilerplate, 'cause I was getting tired of setting it up from scratch every time.
I've you like it, you can check it out. Like to get some feedback!
Replied to Complex Ecommerce Database Design
When it comes to e-commerce, you'd probably want to manage your products out of a PIM and not in your webshop. You could look at some open-source PIM systems to see what your needs are.
The biggest open-source PIMs are: PIM Core and Akeneo.
Replied to Laravel Collective
Why not disregard the whole HTML part and just dive into VueJS? The integration with Laravel is really great and easy!
